Lantern Light FAQ
What time should I arrive?
Please arrive at the Potter Mansion starting at 5:45pm to check in, the walkway in front of the Potter Mansion will be lit to guide you to the correct location in the center of the Village (please see this Village map at the bottom of the page to locate Potter Mansion). You do not need printed tickets. Please be prepared to give the last name on the reservation or the Order # you received on your confirmation e-mail.
How does this event work? What activities are going on during Lantern Light?
When you arrive for check-in you will receive a small lantern to carry (at least one per group, lanterns are flameless). The lantern helps our volunteers and staff know you’ve check in for the event. The lantern can be returned to the Potter Mansion at the end of the event. Once you receive your lantern, you can walk through the six decorated museum buildings at your leisure, there is no specific start or end point. Activities occur at various points throughout the event. Please check out the details on our website. You can find information about our musical entertainment, when Santa & Mrs. Claus will be here, hands-on activities, and more!
Horse-drawn wagon rides down to our Farmers Market begin at 6pm and are included with admission to Lantern Light Evening. Wagon rides will pick up approximately every 15 minutes in the lot behind the white Gazebo. The Farmers Market offers gifts, snacks, and festive beverages!
Stick around after to visit the Storrowton Tavern patio at 8pm for free appetizers!
Do I have to pay for parking?
Parking is free for all Storrowton Village Museum programs. Please pull in to Gate 1 and let the security guard know you’re going to the Museum, they’ll wave you through. Security Staff can direct you to the nearest parking location if needed, please be sure to ask if you need further direction.
Where are the restrooms?
Public restrooms are located in the green building across the Avenue of States from the New Hampshire state building .
